New Year....'Better' ME!

Let me re-introduce myself.

Hi I'm Hesmarie R Naidoo, a make-up artist, hairstylist and entrepreneur from Midrand, JHB.

I'm 32 years old, a wife and incredibly passionate about animals, being kind and living closer to God.

Reflecting on 2021

2021 was one of the hardest years I've had yet, Isolation due to covid and the fear of getting it pushed me into anxiety which became unbearable and I lost my coping mechanisms as the year started drawing to an end, I also had to say goodbye to far too many people, some more permanent than others, which lead to a complete shutdown of me as a person, but it did end with a new business and a lot more growing than I thought would take place and as hard as it may have been, to some extent I'm truly thankful for the year as it taught me to reassess more frequent, to trust and let God, because in the end He is truly in control, it also showed me what "True friendship" looks like and no words can express how grateful I am for those who have taken the time to try and understand as well as those who don't understand but who stayed with me regardless.

What my Blogs will tell you

I have decided to share my journey of re-learning to be me and living in society, with you as I've learned a lot throughout the last few months, not just about myself but also about what's truly important in life, I will also at times share my passion for make-up and fashion with you, although I don't see myself as just a make-up artist anymore it is still a big part of who I am, and a important part of stimulation for me due to it allowing me to be creative.

Welcome to my thoughts... At times it might be a little more political or religious than what some of you would like to read, but it is a platform for me to literally put my thoughts to paper, because its always better out than in ;)
